Sustainable Farming
Scaling Our Agent Network to Reach More Farmers Faster
In February, Digifarmer accelerated the expansion of its field agent network to strengthen last-mile support for smallholder farmers. Our agent network grew from 70 to 160 trained field agents operating across key farming communities.
Each agent now supports between 300 and 400 farmers using tablet-based digital advisory tools. These tools help farmers access agronomic guidance, climate-smart practices, and market information directly from the field.
To ensure quality service, we introduced a structured onboarding framework that tracks agent productivity, farmer engagement, and service delivery. We also rolled out a performance-based commission model to reward agents who consistently support farmers and deliver strong results.
This expansion significantly improves farmer access to digital agriculture services and moves us closer to our goal of supporting more than 1 million farmers by 2028 through the Digifarmer platform.
