Farmer Network Expansion: Scaling Digital Agriculture to Reach 1 Million Farmers by 2028
The DigiFarmer network continues to expand as one of East Africa’s fastest-growing digital agriculture ecosystems. The platform now supports over 45,000 registered farmers, connecting them to markets, extension advisory, quality farm inputs, and financial services through one integrated digital system. This growth reflects increasing demand for trusted digital agriculture tools that help farmers improve productivity, reduce losses, and increase income stability.
By 2028, DigiFarmer aims to reach more than 1,000,000 farmers across the region. This growth will be driven by expanding extension agent coverage across key districts, scaling organic certification programs, and promoting sustainable farming practices. Through a combination of digital technology and on-ground technical support, DigiFarmer is helping smallholder farmers transition toward climate-smart, market-connected, and profitable agriculture systems across East Africa.
